What is Ring Fill Light

The Ring Fill Light is a circular light that fits around the camera lens or is large enough to be photographed and shot through. Ring light provides illumination with little shadow, because the origin of the light is very close to the optical axis of the lens. It is usually described as a glamorous light. The main purpose of ring lamps is to cast an even light on the subject. This reduces shadows on the face and minimizes blemishes, while at the same time brightening the eyes. This is why ring lights are often used in portraits, glamorous shots, or even in videography that captures only one subject.
